The Otters
(24 - 32 Months Old)

In The Otter's Room, we teach children ages 24 - 32 months old. The lead teacher is Mrs. Alicia, who has been with TPA for almost four years. The Otter's daily schedule includes self-help skills, group time, outside play, arts and crafts, and musical and physical education. During group time, they teach basic colors and shapes, numbers 1-15, days of the week, months of the year, and daily and seasonal weather. As the students are still developing their language skills, we continue to use sign language as a way of communication. Mrs. Alicia posts a "My Day" note that tells you how your child's overall day was, what they ate, when they napped, and when they were changed/ went to the bathroom. As your child forms more independence, we start the potty training process!
